Are you dreaming of a week filled with snow, adventure, and authentic experiences? During the Winter Wonder Week, you’ll stay seven days and six nights at my B&B in Hedenäset, a charming village on the banks of the Tornio River, located along the picturesque Norrskensvägen in beautiful Tornedalen. Escape from mass tourism and immerse yourself in the vast nature and serene calm of the north.

Exclusivity Guaranteed: You can book this package for yourself or your own group. No other guests, all the attention is on you and your experience. Everything is optional; after all, it’s a vacation. Here in the north, life moves at a slower pace, and relaxation is part of the culture.

Highlights of the week

Ski Touring through Snow-Covered Forests and Over the Frozen Tornio River – experience the silence and vastness of Lapland.
Husky and Snowmobile Combo Day – start with the musher and then drive your own dog team; in the afternoon, enjoy a 1.5-hour snowmobile tour after lunch in a historic barn.
Visit to a Sami Reindeer Herder – learn about the culture and traditions of the indigenous people.
Kuksa Workshop – create your own traditional wooden drinking cup (a kuksa is a handmade wooden cup from the north, often used during outdoor activities).
Zen Evening in the Sauna – relax with healthy snacks and the warmth of the sauna.
Outdoor Lunches – enjoy meals prepared over an open fire in nature (weather permitting).
Optional Activities on Rest Day – such as snowshoeing, ice fishing, a visit to Santa Claus in Rovaniemi, or a unique Polar Icebreaker Cruise (these activities are not included in the package price).
Personal Welcome – enjoy a warm fika or Swedish tapas at my kitchen table upon arrival.
Evening NL-Alarm: opportunity to go hunting nearby.

– if you’d rather not snowmobile or dream of visiting the world-famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, we can find a great alternative together. Everything is negotiable.

About Your Stay

You will stay in an authentic, atmospheric old post office on Norrskensvägen in Hedenäset. The building exudes history and offers a warm, homely atmosphere. No crowds, no shared accommodations – just you, the tranquility of the village, and the surrounding nature. Everything is optional; you set your own pace.

Includes all mentioned activities, outdoor lunches, 6 nights in the old post office (fixed room price regardless of whether you travel alone or with a companion), use of the sauna, and personal guidance.

Children aged 3 to 12 years: 30% discount on the package price
Ages 13 and up: full price

Excludes flights, rental car, or transfers (shuttle service available upon request).

Getting There – Fast and Easy!

In winter, there are direct flights from Düsseldorf (Germany) to Kiruna, and direct flights from Switzerland (Zurich) to Luleå/Kallax with Edelweiss.

You can also fly directly from Amsterdam to Rovaniemi with KLM or EasyJet. Several UK airlines and low-cost carriers (for example Ryanair) operate direct winter flights to Rovaniemi from UK airports.

For the rest of the year, most connections to northern Sweden or Finland go via Stockholm Arlanda (ARN) or Helsinki (HEL).

The Old Post Office Sweden is located almost exactly halfway between Rovaniemi (Finland) and Luleå (Sweden) – about 105 km from Rovaniemi and 145 km from Luleå. So it really doesn’t matter which airport you choose – both offer a beautiful scenic drive through the north.
